Jerica's passion

In May 2021, Jerica joined MCX as application manager of TOPdesk. A Service management application that has only recently been used within MCX. As the person responsible for this application, Jerica is involved in the furnishing and further development and she does this with great enthusiasm. But TOPdesk is not her only passion!

TOPdesk has few secrets for Jerica. After all, she already had her first acquaintance with this application in 2009 when she was working as a service desk employee at a municipality. After years of being a major user of the application, it became clear that her qualities lie in setting up and further developing TOPdesk. But, as she herself points out; “It's great that there is still a lot to learn about this platform”.

The focus at MCX is mainly on automating actions. For example, she learned to make so-called 'action sequences' in TOPdesk, a skill she had not mastered before. With these action sequences it is also possible to integrate TOPdesk with other systems. It gives Jerica a lot of energy and satisfaction to do this especially if the action sequences succeed!

Energy she also gets from her travels to Sao Miguel. An island that lies in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and is the largest part of the Azores. Since the very first visit, in 2016, she has been very impressed by the nature, the atmosphere and the phenomenal view. So much so that she will soon be 'test living' there! A house has been rented, the laptop and keyboard are put in the suitcase and an extra monitor from the landlord is reserved. The wifi has also been checked and it seems to work well. All that remains now is a workplace with a view of the ocean. And if that works out, it could well be that she will leave for Sao Miguel for good in the future!
