MCX are proud with new customer Allseas Engineering
For 15 years Alleas have used the Oracle E-Business Suite for their financial, HR and procurement applications. Over the years these applications have been finetuned and developed to suit the changing needs of the organisation. At the beginning of 2019, the contract with their current management partner was due to expire, which is why, in 2018, Allseas started looking for a new partner. Following a selection process, MCX have been chosen for the coming years as the new partner.

MCX win European tender of The Hague University of Applied Sciences
In December 2018, the The Hague University of Applied Sciences (THUAS) launched a European tender for the Oracle database management as well as the management of the Oracle SOA Suite
. Many information systems use a database and the unavailability of a database or SOA Suite component will put the continuity of these information systems at risk.
THUAS have chosen to take on a directive role and outsource the operational activities, relying on the Oracle expertise of a partner.

On 28 February, MCX received the good news that out of five submissions, they had been awarded the contract.

About the The Hague University of Applied Sciences
The THUAS is an institution of higher professional education with a wide offering of degree programmes both full-time, part-time and the so-called "dual form" (a combination of work and study). Roughly 26,000 students follow one of the approximately 40 programmes in the fields of economy, behaviour and society, health care, information technology, sport, education and technology. This is made possible by more than 1,280 teachers and nearly 720 staff in education-related positions and support.

In addition to the regular programmes, the THUAS organises courses and training programmes at post-graduate-level, refresher courses, in-company-training sessions, master's and shortened Ph.D. programmes in cooperation with universities. They also do research for businesses and the government. In all these activities, the THUAS aims for quality and personalisation. More and more courses are given in part-time or dual form, continuously testing their content and duration against the social trends and demand in education.

Liverpool John Moore University choose MCX
For years Liverpool John Moore University (LJMU) have relied on PeopleSoft Campus Solutions as their Student Information System. Their current release is version 9.0. To continue the development of the application and to guarantee the support of Oracle, LJMU decided in 2018 to upgrade to version 9.2. Besides this upgrade, further upgrades of the Peopletools version and the Oracle database were also required. Because LJMU had never performed such a major upgrade themselves, the choice was made to contract a specialist. Following the selection process and negotiation phase MCX were contracted in March as the partner for this upgrade.

Including Koç University in Istanbul, INSEAD Business School in Fontainebleau, VUB in Brussels, IESE in Barcelona, LJMU is another nice new international success for MCX.

MCX support IESE Business School to go live with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.2
In December 2017 MCX had been selected as partner of IESE for the upgrade of their Student Information System. This was a challenging project for IESE since the upgrade of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions was part of a larger project that also upgraded other applications. These applications were all connected. The start of the project took place in March 2018 and during the weekend of 16 and 17 March this year, the upgrade was performed in production. Once MCX had finished their work over the weekend and the users had completed the final acceptance tests on 17 and 18 March, the steering group gave their thumbs up to go live with the new version.

MCX follow ITIL and are ISO 20000 certified
MCX have set up their IT service management processes to conform with the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL). The ITIL is a reference framework that streamlines IT management processes based on best practice. MCX have aligned their IT service management processes accordingly and hierarchically classified them based on authority and/or responsibility, which improves the services we deliver to our clients even more.

ISO 20000 certification
ITIL is solely based on practical experience and there are no possibilities for certification. MCX have therefore chosen to follow ITIL for the design of their IT service management processes, while certifying for ISO 20000. ISO 20000 is an international standard for IT Service Management (ITSM) and is based on a number of principles of quality management, such as profitability, reliability, consistency and efficiency. As ICU are now ISO 20000 certified, we are able, for all of the above to provide our customers with a higher quality of IT service management.

Yet again  meets SOC2 and SOC3 requirements
Just as in 2017, MCX met again the requirements for SOC2 and SOC3. These two frameworks ensure that clients and the auditors of MCX clients have access to the way in which MCX has set up control measures with the aim of guaranteeing the quality of the service.
At the request of their customers, MCX will provide a SOC2 report every year and a SOC3 report is also available. The SOC3 report is accessible to everyone and therefore also to organizations that are not MCX customers. The latest version of the SOC3 report can be downloaded.
