MCX welcome Allseas Group S.A. as a new customer
MCX have recently concluded an agreement with Allseas Group S.A. for the management of their Oracle applications. This does not only involve the Oracle E-Business Suite environments but also the Oracle applications running on Allseas' vessels.

Initially the agreement focused on the management of the applications, which were hosted by Allseas in their own data centre. However, the hardware being due for replacement, Allseas and MCX soon explored the possibilities to transfer the environments to the MCX Private Cloud.
Detailed research showed the benefits of the Private Cloud in terms of continuity and cost reductions. For these reasons, the agreement has been extended handing over the responsibility for the hosting of these environments to MCX as well.

HEUG EMEA Alliance 2019

This year, the HEUG EMEA Alliance took place on 22 & 23 October 2019. The organising committee had chosen The Netherlands as the user conference location, giving the honour of hosting the event to the University of Amsterdam.
Users of Oracle Campus Solutions from all over Europe and South Africa attended the two-day conference to get updated on the experiences of other users, as well as on the developments of the application. Student Cloud, the successor of Campus Solutions was introduced some time ago, and users wondered when this application would become available. But, it appeared from the presentations that, in the short term, this new version will be developed for the American market and not for the European market. Many customers therefore think it is appropriate to continue develop Campus Solutions, and, for example, build more and more applications in Fluid.
MCX did not only sponsor the event this year, they also gave a presentation and a demonstration on performance monitoring in PeopleSoft Health Center.

Lasaulec opts for MCX' Private Cloud

Besides a new agreement with Allseas, MCX also concluded a deal for their Private Cloud with Lasaulec B.V. In 2002 Lasaulec chose the Oracle E-Business Suite as an integrated ERP package for both their central warehouse and their local offices. At the same time Lasaulec had been exploring options to outsource part of their IT operations. For this reason Lasaulec and MCX started exploring the Private Cloud services MCX offer at the end of 2018. With high interests at stake for Lasaulec, they decided to start with a Proof of Concept (PoC) in which MCX could put themselves to the test. This successful PoC was the start for a full transition to the Private Cloud of MCX. The transition being completed at the end of August 2019, MCX was ready to go live from the 1st of September.

For the third time in a row MCX win the tender of the province of Drenthe
In April this year, the province of Drenthe launched a tender for the management of the Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle databases. Their good experience with outsourcing made the province of Drenthe decide to broaden the scope by including the hosting of the environments in a private cloud environment. MCX submitted their proposal in June and heard at the end of that month that they came out as the best provider. This resulted in a new multi-year agreement between the province of Drenthe and MCX. The agreement was signed on 26 August and kicked off immediately with the start of the transition.
MCX visit the United Kingdom Oracee User Group (UKOUG)
At the end of September, MCX visited the UKOUG conference in London. The conference discussed topics such as the Oracle E-Business Suite, Apex, and a summary of news items presented at Oracle Open World in San Francisco, which took place at the same time.
As the largest Oracle user group in the United Kingdom the UKOUG is a hub where the user community can connect, learn, share and hold talks. With more than 8,500 people, the users group consists of Oracle customers, Oracle partners and the Oracle Corporation, who together create an ecosystem for the benefit of all.

The UKOUG is an independent, non-commercial organisation that has been founded with the sole purpose to represent the interests of the Oracle users in the United Kingdom. The organisation can be qualified as a real knowledge institute for users. For this reason, MCX decided to register as a sponsor of UKOUG.
